The Shar‘i Method of Even and Odd Phrasing in Adhan and Iqamah

Question:
Should the Adhan be recited in even (jufṭ) form and the Iqamah in odd (ṭāq), or should both Adhan and Iqamah be recited in even form?
Answer:
Alhamdulillah, wassalatu wassalamu ‘ala Rasulillah, amma ba‘d!
The better method regarding Adhan and Iqamah is as follows:
◈ If someone recites the Adhan in the manner of Abu Mahdhurah (رضي الله عنه), then he should also recite the Iqamah in the way Abu Mahdhurah (رضي الله عنه) used to recite.
◈ If someone recites the Adhan in the manner of Bilal (رضي الله عنه), then he should also recite the Iqamah in the way Bilal (رضي الله عنه) used to perform it.
Although both other combinations are permissible, the preferable practice is that the Adhan and Iqamah should match in style, i.e., both should be of the same format.
