✿ Ruling on Removing Less-Used Mats and Similar Items from the Mosque

When better-quality mats are brought into the mosque, it is permissible to remove the old mats. However, it is not correct to remove them entirely and leave the mosque with bare floors, because having old mats is better than not having any at all. But if they are being removed to replace them with something better, there is no harm in that.

When removing them for this need, they should not be discarded or wasted. Rather, they should be given to someone in need or to a smaller mosque that may benefit from them.
