إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلّٰهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنُصَلِّي عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ الْكَرِيمِ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَأَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِنْدَهُمْ مِنََ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
Then when clear proofs came to them from their Lord, they said, “This is clear magic.”
The religion of Islam is the religion of Tawheed. The creed of Tawheed is the great blessing that Allah bestows upon His beloved and chosen people. Whoever attains understanding of this creed, while walking on the earth and living on it, his Paradise is already confirmed. Because on the Day of Judgment there are only two abodes: one Paradise and one Hellfire. The abode of the people of Tawheed, that is, those who properly recognize the call of لا الٰه الا الله, is the Lord’s Paradise, and those who associate partners in the worship of Allah, who do not understand the creed of Tawheed, their abode in the Hereafter is the ever-burning fire.
Understanding Tawheed:
In simple words, not associating anyone else in the worship of the Creator and Owner is Tawheed (monotheism), and remember this Tawheed is a great and noble call. This message was conveyed by Allah, the Owner, through His Prophet and every messenger to their respective communities. But alas! The polytheists abandoned the belief in Tawheed and associated others in the worship of the Creator and Owner. They also made claims about themselves, saying that they are the ones who will enter Paradise, that they are beloved by Allah. There is a famous analogy: one is a thief, the other is a braggart. If a thief steals but admits to his theft, it does not provoke as much anger as it does when someone steals and says, “Do not call me a thief.” This is not a new phenomenon; rather, it has been the habit of polytheists in every era that even while reaching the extremes of disbelief, they consider themselves close to Allah in their desires.
The Polytheism of Jews and Christians:
Let us know the condition of the Jews from the words of Allah Almighty, how great their crimes were, in what mire of polytheism they were sunk, and what their claims and hopes were. Look at their crimes and then see their hopes. The Jews used to say that Uzair is the son of Allah. (May Allah protect us from what they say) whereas in reality, the Creator and Owner has no son. He has no wife and no offspring. Allah was neither born nor did He give birth to anyone. Offspring are weaknesses, a wife is a weakness, therefore the Creator is free from all kinds of weaknesses. But Allah Almighty has explained their belief.
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ
And the Jews said, “Uzair is the son of Allah.”
This was a very great crime among the crimes of the Jews, that the Being who is alone in His essence, alone in His worship, unique in His attributes (they declared Uzair) His offspring and His son. These oppressors used to speak even more arrogantly.
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ
And the Jews said, “The hand of Allah is chained.”
غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا
In reality, their own hands are chained, and because of this statement of theirs, Allah the Creator and Owner has showered upon them the scourge of curse.
The Owner says in response to them.
بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ
The hands of this Creator and Owner are both open.
يُنْفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ
He spends as He wills.
That is, Allah Almighty gives as He wishes and to whomever He wishes; He is not bound to anyone.
At another place He further said.
لَقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ
Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those who said, “Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich.”
سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا
Whatever they said, We will record it, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will be brought back to be judged.
Although Allah the Owner sent down the Book for their guidance, the Torah, which was a source of guidance and light.
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ
We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light.
That is, it was a beacon of light and a source of guidance, but the Jews, abandoning it, climbed the stairs of oppression and ran into the darkness of misguidance, what beliefs did they fabricate? Rather, they rejected the Book given by Allah, abandoned the light and guidance, wrote words with their own hands, carved some things with their own hands, made some things with their own hands, and fabricated human laws with their own hands and attributed them to Allah. The Owner exposes their crime and says.
فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ
So woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, “This is from Allah,”
Thus, destruction is for those who attribute their words, their fabricated laws, their carved phrases to Allah. Later, when the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, came, the Jews recognized the proofs of the prophethood of the Noble Messenger, understood the truth, and realized that the awaited Messenger was indeed the true Messenger, but they remained stubborn on their religious prejudice and nationalistic foundations, and despite recognizing the beloved Prophet, peace be upon him, they did not believe. Rather, what did they say in response?
وَقَالُوا كُونُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ تَهْتَدُوا
They said, “Become Jews or Christians, then you will be guided.”
What was meant by this was that do not become Muhammadan, do not believe in the teachings of Muhammad the Noble, peace be upon him. The previous crimes of disbelief were there, but not accepting your prophethood after the arrival of the son of Amna is itself a very great crime. Despite all their misdeeds, disbelief, and being immersed in polytheism, what did they say? What belief did they hold about themselves? What hopes did they have about themselves? The Jews and Christians used to say that we are the sons of Allah and the beloved of Allah. (معاذ الله عما يقولون)
A Polytheist is Not Dear to Allah
Remember this: no polytheist can be beloved by Allah. Whoever associates partners with Allah, making someone else a partner in Allah’s essence, attributes, or worship—whether it is the Prophet’s son, uncle, or father—cannot be beloved by Allah. While others will burn in the fire of Hell, those who commit shirk (associating partners with Allah) will also burn in that fire, no matter how noble their lineage may be. Whoever commits shirk can never be beloved by Allah. The one whose heart is beloved is among the friends of Allah. The first condition to become beloved by Allah is to recognize the majesty of the Creator and Owner and not associate anyone with Him, as the Owner Himself declared: I will forgive all sins for whom I will, but I will not forgive shirk for anyone.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.
The sin of shirk will never be forgiven because when a person commits the crime of associating partners in the worship of Allah and then believes that he is beloved by Allah, it is like a blind person seeing far in the darkness. How strange is the claim of those who run the entire business of shirk? Furthermore, the Jews and Christians said:
وَقَالُوا لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ
And they say, “None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian.” That is their wishful thinking.
Such wishes cannot be fulfilled.
Because when you stepped into the valley of shirk, you broke your pure relationship with the pure spring of Tawheed. You called Uzair (peace be upon him) the son of Allah. At that moment, it was as if huge rocky mountains stood between you and Paradise, which you can never remove to enter Paradise. Your entry into Paradise is as difficult as a camel passing through the eye of a needle. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, further describes their arrogance.
وَقَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلَّا أَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَةً
And they said, “The Fire will not touch us except for a few days.”
Our abode will never be Hell; rather, it will be Paradise.
This was the condition and crime of the Jews, and the same was the case with the Christians. They committed the same acts regarding Jesus (peace be upon him) as the Jews did regarding Uzair (peace be upon him). Even though Jesus (peace be upon him) came to them with glad tidings and informed them, as mentioned in the Holy Quran:
وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ
When Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah to you, confirming what was before me of the Torah.”
وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ
And giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me whose name will be Ahmad.
Jesus (peace be upon him) confirmed the Torah and brought glad tidings of Muhammad (peace be upon him). But when the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) came, the Muhammadan Shariah arrived, and the Prophet declared his prophethood, it became clear to the Christians, and then what was their response?
فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
But when he came to them with clear proofs, they said, “This is obvious magic.”
That is, when clear evidence and signs were presented, after seeing and recognizing these signs, what did the Christians say? They said, “This is obvious magic. We do not believe in this magic.” Jesus (peace be upon him) had told his people:
إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ
I am the servant of Allah.
Accept me only as the servant of Allah. The Christians, committing a great crime on the ladder of crimes, said:
وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ
And the Christians said, “The Messiah is the son of Allah.”
The Prophet taught Tawheed and gave the message. Just as the Jews spread shirk among their nations by calling Uzair the son of Allah, the Christians committed the same crime by calling Jesus (peace be upon him) the son of Allah. Then they went further and said:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَاثَةٍ
The third of the three is Allah.
They held the belief in three gods (deities) and said Allah is also a god, Mary is a god, and Jesus is also Allah. Those who hold the belief in three gods and reject the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Jesus (peace be upon him), who said, “I am the servant of Allah, call me the servant of Allah,” but instead of saying this, they said:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ
Indeed, the Messiah, son of Mary, is Allah.
Despite all these blasphemous beliefs, the Christians believed:
وَقَالُوا لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ
They said, “Only Jews and Christians will enter Paradise.”
Thus, due to committing major shirk, they were forever deprived of Paradise. But they did not abandon their belief (shirk) and continued to wish that they alone would enter Paradise. I would sacrifice myself for the mercy of knowledge given by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who warned his Ummah against shirk and informed them of the condition of previous nations and said: O people! I am the servant of Allah. Call me the servant of Allah. He also said about the orphan:
لتتبعن سنن من كان قبلكم
You will surely follow the ways of those before you.
You will walk in their footsteps. Then what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said happened. Among those who recited the Kalima, Wasee Bin Ata stood up. He presented the concept of two gods: one the creator of evil and the other the creator of good. The scholars recognized his disbelief and saw his crimes. He denied the vision of the Owner in Paradise, denied Allah’s attributes, made claims about himself, and said about himself that we are people of Tawheed. They tore apart Tawheed and claimed to be people of Tawheed. Thus, they kept shouting that they are monotheists, but the scholars and hadith narrators recognized their disbelief and issued a verdict of disbelief against them. The prophecy given by the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) was fulfilled clearly that those who recite the Kalima followed in the footsteps of Jews and Christians and declared Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a god, just as Jews and Christians called Jesus (peace be upon him) their god.
Remember, these words of ours are not meant to trouble anyone. Rather, we are introducing you to your Creator and Owner, who provided for you in your mother’s womb, who relieved your difficulties and brought you to this earth, who gave strength and power to your body, gave you sustenance and honor, gave you wealth and riches. Do not forget this Creator and Owner. Do not break your relationship with this Lord by falling into the fraud of clerics and joining others. Our speech is to the people drowning in the valley and swamp of shirk. Recognize the One who transferred the water of the father to the womb of the mother. Which doctor was it who made the body from clots of blood?
ثم أحسن صوركم
Then He made your forms beautiful.
What was the name of this generous One? What was the name of this Provider who brought you to this earth? What was the name of this Helper, this Giver, this Generous One? He is called Allah. O people! Do not forget this true Creator and protect yourself from such shirk and innovation that previous nations committed.
The Condition of Those Who Commit Shirk Today:
Today, some people have made the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, their God.
In Khawaja Muhammad Yar Fareedi’s book Diwan Muhammadi, on
, he expresses his belief (this author’s name is also Muhammad Yar Fareedi Gadhi) in a couplet:
If Muhammad considers Muhammad as God,
Then he is a Muslim, not a deceiver.
Meaning, if Muhammad Yar Fareedi considers Muhammad, the Master of the Worlds, as God, as Allah, then he is a Muslim and not a deceiver. By the oath of the Lord of Muhammad! The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, introduced himself with the words (مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ), and whoever considers Muhammad Rasul Allah as Allah is not a Muslim. He has taken the teachings of the Prophet, peace be upon him, out of servitude and made him a Lord. Therefore, no one has the right to call anyone Allah except Allah. Yet Muhammad Yar Fareedi, addressing in Saraiki on
of this book, says:
If I call him God, the world is afraid.
If I say Muhammad, peace be upon him, is God, people get scared, people will kill, there is fear of people.
If I say God, the world fears
If I say so, the heart dies
If I say that Muhammad is not God, Muhammad is not a deity, he is separate from God, then my heart dies. Because this is against my belief.
He came as a human being
The One and Only, Ahmad, the Caller.
Isn’t this the same crime that the Jews and Christians committed?
O servants of Allah! If Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was an ordinary person as some say:
The One who was above the Throne was God Himself
He descended to Medina as Mustafa.
Who was stoned in Taif? Ahad or Ahmed? Who was expelled from Mecca? Abu Bakr or who? Who rode behind on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) she-camel? Who rode on the shoulders of Siddiq Akbar and went to Medina? Who then slept resting their head in Abu Bakr’s lap? Who arrived in Medina? Who stayed at Abu Ayyub Ansari’s house? When it was time to build the Mosque of the Prophet, who built the House of Allah together with the companions and Banu Umayyah? Was it the Lord Himself or the Messenger of the Lord? (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ) Intellect is a great blessing. Do not bury this intellect. Tell me! Whose teeth were martyred at Uhud? Whose forehead was wounded? To whom did the angel come? Whose message did he bring? If you point, then crush the inhabitants by bringing down the mountains of Taif, who was telling whom?
((اللهم اغفر لقومي فإنهم لا يعلمون))
Whose reputation was it? You have completely erased the difference between disbelief and faith. The saint of Lahore, Pir Noori Bori Wala, many people must have seen this luminous baba. My master Allah has bowed the back (waist) of this luminous baba. O you who call the deceased “master”! You could have straightened his back with one of your elders… He was also here and your master is also here (in Lahore). Did you not even accept this much? To those who say about the Lord that He is not a master but this one is a master. The true master bowed the back of your luminous baba, or you go to the graves of all the masters of the universe and try to get your wish fulfilled and see, no one can straighten this bent back.
قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
Say, “Bring your proof if you are truthful.”
Sitting this person (Baba Noori Bori) in front, singing Naeem Qawwal’s qawwali, following in the footsteps of Jews and Christians, he says:
People are taken to the heavens
The Lord of the universe Himself descends
People hold false and filthy beliefs about my Creator and Owner, that, God forbid, the One on the Throne has taken shelter under this filthy sack. Whereas Allah says:
الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى
The Most Merciful is established on the Throne.
God forbid the words of those who say:
Those who seek on the Throne forget that the Lord has come in the guise of a luminous one in Lahore, in His attire; this is not a saint but God Himself. (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ) Perhaps the Jews and Christians were better than you, for at least they called the Prophets the sons of God, but you have made the worst scoundrels of the time partners with the Lord. In today’s era, shirk (polytheism) has become so vile that people call Baba Noori a god, yet they do not recognize their true God (the One to be worshipped), and shirk has reached such an extreme that they prostrate fully to the dead, dance wildly at the graves of saints, prostrate to the dead at graves, and the living are tempted and salivate thinking that if they prostrate to the dead, then we living ones are better than them. They have made themselves spiritual guides, and those who bow before the dead have been made to bow before them. If you do not believe, just watch Tahir-ul-Qadri Sahib’s journey to Damascus. He sits on a chair with a blessed cushion under his feet. A disciple comes and prostrates, saying, “I did not know I had so many crazy disciples.” Such disciples lead him further into negligence. Actually, this couplet should have been like this:
The falcon soars, but it does not know who will perform istinja after death.
We prepared our dead, gave them ghusl, made them perform istinja. If they were such secret-keepers of people, would they allow others to touch their private parts after death? Similarly, some living saints today have made their devotees prostrate before them. If you don’t believe, watch a clip on YouTube of a polytheist’s gathering; a clip will open showing how people are prostrating before a pir. Humans are prostrating before humans. Whereas he wears what you wear, eats what you eat, expels what you expel, is as helpless as you are. Have you ever seen a dog prostrate before another dog? Even animals have that much intelligence. But you do not have even as much intelligence as an animal. They form groups of six and start prostrating before them. There is a shrine of Harmal Sharif where an Urs is held; by God! It is a place to weep. The heart weeps tears of blood. They recite the Kalima and get their names written in the list of Muslims. They perform the commands of Allah in front of them. The pir sits on a chair. There was a time when people, upon seeing a pir, worried about their Hereafter; he had a long beard and a radiant face. Seeing him, one truly felt he was a pir. But nowadays, most pirs are clean-shaven. So, O Muslims who stand firm on Tawheed! Congratulations to you. You have prostrated before your Lord, but in Harmal, those people formed rows and prostrated before that clean-shaven pir. Not only did they prostrate, but the whole village heard their crying and shouting. They were crying and pleading with their pir. If only they had ever prostrated before their Lord, had bowed their foreheads and wept before their Lord, they would have attained success today. But one who does not know how to prostrate before one Lord, even the Lord humiliates him everywhere. If only these tears were shed for their Lord. A group of two hundred and fifty people are prostrating. We were stopping them from prostrating before the dead, but now they are prostrating before the living. When we stopped them, they started circumambulating the graves of pirs and babas. We forbade them, saying circumambulation is only for the House of Allah. The Awliya and the Prophets also circumambulated this House… the righteous did too. Circumambulation of the House of Allah is a means of worshiping Allah. We perform tawaf of the House of Allah to please Allah, the Creator and Owner. We said do not circumambulate graves. The polytheists said, “Okay, if tawaf is of the House of Allah, then we will build a House of Allah and circumambulate it in our area.”
Thus, in India, there is a settlement named Makkahpur. The oppressors built a model of the House of Allah over graves and used to circumambulate it. Here are the graves of babas; those circumambulating held green cloths in their hands and after circumambulation, they placed these cloths on the graves. Those who recite the Kalima are circumambulating it and claiming that they are Muslims. We forbade them and told them: Do not follow the Sunnah of Abraha. There is only one Kaaba. We said there is only one true Giver; they called the deceased their Giver. We said there is only one True Reliever of difficulties; they called Allah’s righteous servants difficulty-relievers. We said there is only one House of Allah; they built a model of the House of Allah on their ancestors’ graves and circumambulated it. We said Hajj is performed only in Makkah as worship of Allah. Now they have started performing Hajj on the graves of their pirs. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ. In these facts, there is no intention to mock or harass anyone, nor is sectarianism our goal, but to clarify the Shariah brought by Muhammad Kareem ﷺ. O people! Tawheed is that great belief whose roots are watered by the blessed blood of the orphan Muhammad Kareem ﷺ. The tree of this Tawheed has been irrigated by the blood of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, the sons of Umayyah. In Jammu Cholistan, there is a pir named Ahmad Ayaz Thani. Hajj is performed at his grave. This Hajj is called Hajj Asghar, and this settlement is named Makkah Thaniyah. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ.
To those who call us blasphemers! We have not called any settlement other than Makkah Mukarramah as Thani or Thalith. We have not given any settlement other than Madinah Tayyibah the status of Madinah, yet you call us blasphemers? These are Ahl al-Hadith who do not recognize any settlement greater than Makkah, and then Madinah. They do not recognize anyone greater than Muhammad ﷺ among creation. I sacrifice myself for your intellects, yet we are declared blasphemers of the Messenger. You make a new Makkah, you make a new Madinah. These are Russian states. Kazakhstan—can anyone from India or Pakistan say why do you go so far? We show you their nearby Makkah and Madinah. The pir where Chachar Wang is buried is equal to Makkah. The pir where Mithankot is buried is equal to Madinah. You have dragged the gates of the Lord’s Paradise and placed them on the graves of your babas.
Neither did they give us shocks, nor did we complain like this
Neither were the hidden secrets revealed, nor did such disgraces occur.
Is there no gate of Paradise on the grave of the elder in Pakpattan? Does the gate of Paradise not open once a year? Do those who pass through it not consider themselves heavenly? Do they not believe that whoever passes through here has entered Paradise? When this news reached even the ambassadors of the disbelievers, the American ambassador also came to pass through, hoping that he too might get Paradise. To enter the Paradise of Muhammad, the Master of the Worlds, one must first believe in the Oneness of the Lord. One must accept the prophethood of Muhammad Kareem ﷺ, the orphan, and that too without any partner or distinction. Pilgrimage is performed at the grave of Ahmad Ayaz Sani, and it is said that pilgrimage is performed there because the expense of going to Hajj in Mecca is high. Here, the work is done quickly. No money is spent. There is no expense. This is the pilgrimage of the poor, and this is not just one grave. Then, inside the West, there is another Baba Pir Syedi Bogiar, at whose grave pilgrimage is performed, and this too is called the pilgrimage of the poor. Pilgrims coming to Syedi Bogiar’s grave bring sacrificial animals with them. Animals are standing that are to be sacrificed; some have already been sacrificed. These animals slaughtered in the name of the Baba, the voluntary pilgrimage at the graves of the Pirs, congratulations to you. Blessed is it for the people of Tawheed to go to the House of Allah and perform the pilgrimage of the House of Allah. These poor souls have started performing pilgrimage at the graves of their Babas because their pilgrims do not pray behind the Imam of the House of Allah. A Pir Nuri of Mirpur says: “I swear by Allah, I go there and do not pray behind the Imams there.” We say it is a matter of fate; when we leave home to pray, the prayer is established. The Imam, Sheikh Sadis, Sheikh Shareem, or some Imam begins the prayer by saying Allahu Akbar, and we join them in prayer, and they say, “You pray, I will just go over there for a while.” The rest of the time, he must be spending in the bathhouse or in the restroom of the Haram Sharif. A Muslim prays there and leaves; if someone asks why they do not pray, they say, “We do not have prayer there.” Therefore, they are also taking a separate contract for their pilgrimage. Then they will tell people about Hajj, “There is no tyranny here. Come there and do it,” and then they curse the Wahhabis. “We follow Tawheed there, but listen, we are not Wahhabis; we are Muslims.” The One on the Throne has named us Muslims. The Great Lord gave two hands: one holding the Lord’s Quran, the other holding the Hadith of Muhammad Kareem ﷺ. He did not give a third hand.
We are servants of the Lord, followers of Muhammad ﷺ. We have not affiliated ourselves with any other settlement except the Prophet’s settlement, leaving aside Muhammad Kareem ﷺ. We have not adopted beliefs or ideologies like theirs by turning away from Medina or Mecca. Our eyes have fallen on the birthplace of the jewel of Amina and the settlement of the jewel of Amina; we have not been unfaithful to these two settlements, Mecca and Medina. While circumambulating, those who teach the Ummah curses! May Allah protect the Ummah from your evil. You have circumambulated graves. You performed pilgrimage at Baba Bogiar’s grave, sacrificed animals; you had heard of circumambulating graves, but you left Baba Bogiar’s grave and started circumambulating his house, and you claim that whoever performs pilgrimage three times at Baba Bogiar’s grave receives the reward of pilgrimage of Mecca and Medina. Congratulations to you on such fake pilgrimages and Ka’bas. We are blessed with the gift of the beloved daughter of Muhammad ﷺ, the belief in Tawheed. Be proud, by Allah! Those Muslims whose foreheads bow to no one except the One on the Throne, whose deeds find no proof except from the people of Medina, they can never be proud enough of their destiny.
A Sufi from Egypt was asked about these judges and these beliefs; introducing them, he said: I am a Sufi; no one should consider me Shia (followers of Shi’ism), nor should they insult me saying we are Shia, so we do these things. No, I am a Sufi. People call us worshippers of shrines, and he says: I am proud of this, and yes, we are worshippers of the shrines of Abraha. We worship the shrines of Babas because there is a difference between a grave and a shrine. An ordinary Muslim is buried in a grave, and a true wali (friend of Allah) is buried in a shrine. We worship that shrine because this worship gives us an opportunity to get closer to Allah. (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ) What difference is there between the disbelief of the disbelievers of Mecca and the disbelief of these shrine worshippers? They used to say the same: we worship them because it is an excuse to get closer to Allah. Come, read another story of pilgrimage.
The City of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar: Sehwan
It is said that in Sehwan there is a place called Lal Bagh. Some people deceive by saying that Salafis lied about the grave of Baba Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, claiming that Hajj takes place there. We do not say that, but this is not Hajj at the grave. A few kilometers from the grave, there is a place called Lal Bagh where Hajj takes place. We have seen circumambulation of graves and men prostrating. Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Lal Bagh has another scene: Baba’s platform (Baba’s chabutra), where Baba Ji himself is not buried. The platform on which he used to sit and where the swing (Jhoola Lal) is placed. Earlier, qawwals used to sing qawwalis there; now women sing qawwalis because their CDs sell more and they get reward as well as satanic pleasure—two things at once. When men sang, only reward was gained; now women’s qawwalis have surpassed Indian films. Women, who are supposed to be covered with the veil of sanctity and adorned, move the swing and circumambulate the platform.
Muslims! The beloved Prophet who worked hard to spread monotheism, you have forgotten him so quickly. Circumambulating around Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s platform, his devotees say that when he used to sit on it, the platform would fly as if it were a helicopter blade from old times. Baba used to circumambulate while sitting on the platform. Once it was flying. His companion, a spiritual brother, was teaching children the Quran in the mosque. He saw Lal Shahbaz flying above and said: (Come down). And it landed there. He said, “Don’t you feel ashamed? The Quran is being recited below and you are flying above.” Baba Ji was hurt by this and dug two caves—one leading to Najaf and the other to Mecca. In Baba Lal Shahbaz’s garden, there is a pond. A priest and a disciple of Baba say that Baba used to dive here and come out in Najaf. Circumambulation of his platform also takes place. Then the oppression did not stop here; rather, a pile was made there for stoning the Jamarat. Stones are thrown there. A pilgrim, giving an interview, says: The condition of these pilgrims is so bad that just as stones have to be thrown in Medina, stones have to be thrown here as well. They say that stones must be thrown in Medina for Hajj to be valid (whereas stones are thrown in Mecca because Jamarat are in Mecca). So, do stones have to be thrown at Lal Shahbaz’s grave too? Without that, Hajj is not valid. Why? They say those who throw stones at Satan, who first tempted Ismail (peace be upon him), then Hagar (peace be upon her), then Abraham (peace be upon him), and when he failed, the command to throw stones was given. Then there is Pir Usman (Usman Saharvandi), about whom it is said that he is the Pir of the Shia community. If he were Shia, his name would not be Usman. Remember! This is your Baba. It is said that the Pir used to sit here, disciples would come, and Satan would come and stop them from going to this Baba. Then the command was given to throw stones at this Satan here:
قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ Recite the verse of the Quran where this command is mentioned, or any Prophetic hadith. You recite where it is mentioned. O wise disciples! Not everyone’s intellect is ruined like yours. You say that the command to throw stones was given by Allah. Tell us, is this command in the Quran or hadith? Or have you received a new revelation? Then tell us that too. After throwing stones, there is a water well called Zamzam. Calling it Zamzam is also an insult to Zamzam. Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Zamzam! Whoever drinks from it and asks from their Lord will be granted.”
Further, it is said: “Zamzam is food and cure.”
Compared to that, inside Sehwan, a dirty pond of filthy water has been created. When asked the Pir: “What is this? (You sell bottles of ten each.)” He said: “There is some connection with the Kaaba beneath it.” (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ)
That water is so filthy, by Allah! One cannot bear to look at it, let alone imagine drinking that filthy water and putting it inside the stomach. Where there is sound intellect, there is no shirk (polytheism), and where there is shirk, there is no sound intellect. They stand there and rub soil on their bodies. When asked what it is, they say: Pir Shahbaz Qalandar used soap here while standing, so its effect is in it. To this day, blessings and healing are present in it, which no soap can provide. This is Lal Bagh’s soap. People of monotheism have sound intellect. They do not need to dive into that filthy water. After bathing at Baba’s grave, they think they have become pure like a newborn. All sins are forgiven, all diseases are cured. When asked, “What kind of Hajj is this?” they say, “Those who have money should go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj, and those who do not have money, Allah has commanded you to perform Hajj here. I will give you equal reward.” Reflect on this sentence. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ
In which verse of the Holy Quran has Allah stated this, and in which hadith did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) mention it?
So far, this was the story of grave worship. Saints were worshipped, but Satan traps those who commit shirk even deeper into shirk. Let us consider! In Karachi, there is the shrine of Mangho Pir where Baba Sakhi Sultan’s tomb is located. Next to this shrine is a pond, and a miracle is famous about this pond that Baba Ji got thirsty, struck the ground with his belly, and a water well was formed. لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ .إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ
Although the people of Karachi know well that it is a hilly area and there are springs flowing in some places besides the Baba’s shrine, as is common in hilly areas. Anyway, isn’t this a competition with the Zamzam well? When Ismail (peace be upon him) was thirsty, Gabriel came and struck or kicked the ground, and Allah made a spring from Ismail’s heels. Then they say: Baba Ji had itching, he scratched his head, and the lice fell into the pond and became crocodiles. If the lice of that Baba were so big, how big would his head be? A woman believes that the crocodiles in the pond mean that wishes are fulfilled. (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ) This oppression was not matched by Jews and Christians who worshipped animals, except for a calf and that too for a limited time. O you who recite the Kalima! Why have you forgotten the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), who forbade worshipping him, forbade worshipping his grave?
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) say: If there was no fear, the blessed grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him) would have been shown.
❀ For the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), we used to pray:
((اللهم لا تجعل قبرى وثنا يعبد))
“O Allah, do not make my grave an idol so that people worship it.”
You worshipped the graves of Pirs, the graves of elders, performed Hajj at graves, and the extreme of shirk has surrounded you. Are you not the best of creation?
