❀ It is Obligatory Upon the Relatives of the Deceased to Be Patient and Recite:
➊ Divine Command from the Qur’an:
[Al-Baqarah: 100–106]
“We shall certainly test you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth, lives, and fruits; but give glad tidings to those who remain patient—those who, when afflicted with calamity, say: Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn (Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return).”
➋ Prophetic Teaching on Patience at the Time of Loss:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, upon seeing a woman crying near a grave, said:
“Fear Allah and be patient.”
And he also said:
“Indeed, true patience is at the first strike of calamity.”

✔ Recommended Supplication Along with
“O Allah! Reward me in my affliction and replace it for me with something better.”
