❀ It is Recommended to Delay the Isha Prayer
❶ It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“If it were not that I might impose hardship on my Ummah, I would have commanded them to delay the Isha prayer to one third or half of the night.”
[Sahih: Sahih Tirmidhi: 141, Kitab al-Salah: Bab Ma Ja’a fi Ta’khir Salat al-Isha al-Akhirah; Tirmidhi: 167; Ahmad: 2/250; Ibn Majah: 691; Hakim: 1/146; Bayhaqi: 1/36]
❷ It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa’id Khudri رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“If it were not for the weakness of the weak, the sickness of the sick, and the needs of those who have needs, I would have delayed this prayer (Isha) until the middle of the night.”
