Wearing Izar (shalwar, lower garment, etc.) up to half the calf
① Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrates, I passed by the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, my lower garment was hanging down, so the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
يا عبد الله ارفع إزارك
“Abdullah! Raise your lower garment.”
I raised it. Then he said:
زد
“Raise it more.”
So I raised it more, and after that I used to take care of it. Someone among the people asked: How far should it be raised? He replied:
إلى أنصاف الساقين
“Up to the middle of the calves.”
