◈ The Rise of Anti-Religious Posts on Facebook
Nowadays, certain individuals—including some women—are sharing blasphemous posts against religion on Facebook. Their intent is to provoke the public by attacking Islamic teachings and beliefs. These individuals often create fake accounts using Islamic names, add people to their friend lists, and then invite them to specific groups where anti-Islamic content is posted throughout the day.
◈ Their Modus Operandi
➊ Friendship Offer: Initially, these individuals create profiles with Islamic names and befriend ordinary users.
➋ Group Addition: Then, they add these people to specially curated groups.
➌ Aggressive Attacks on Islam: Within these groups, they launch hostile attacks on the fundamental tenets of Islam to either emotionally disturb or confuse the members.
◈ Strategy of Provocation
These individuals deliberately publish provocative content about Islam to incite emotions. When young users respond with harsh language or abusive comments, they showcase these reactions across various forums and groups to portray a negative image of religious individuals.
Interestingly, they do not delete the abusive comments, but immediately remove any well-reasoned or polite responses, revealing their true objective: to prevent any meaningful discourse that could expose their agenda.
◈ Personal Experience
Once, I came across a sarcastic and blasphemous post regarding Hajj from a woman residing in the United States. Initially, I considered ignoring it. However, upon reviewing her past posts, her agenda became evident.
I left a very polite comment, advising others to block such individuals instead of responding to their provocations. I also mentioned that ignoring people like her is the most powerful retaliation, because when their posts receive no attention, they naturally become irrelevant.
◈ The Outcome
Just seconds after my comment, she deleted it and blocked me. This confirmed that their actual objective is to suppress any sensible counter-narrative that could challenge their posts effectively.
◈ What Is the Solution?
I urge everyone to immediately block such individuals and their groups or pages to free themselves from their influence. Ignoring them is the most effective strategy, as their influence diminishes when they receive no reaction.
