باب مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ إِطْعَامِ الطَّعَامِ

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَعْنِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَاضْرِبُوا الْهَامَ تُورَثُوا الْجِنَانَ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَنَسٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَائِشَ ، وَشُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Spread the greeting of peace and make it common, feed (others), and strike the heads of the disbelievers (i.e., fight jihad against them), you will become heirs of Paradise." 1© Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith, through the narration of Ibn Ziyad from Abu Hurairah, is Hasan Sahih Gharib.
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Abdullah bin Amr, Ibn Umar, Anas, Abdullah bin Salam, Abdur Rahman bin A’ish, and Shuraih bin Hani (may Allah be pleased with them); Shuraih bin Hani narrated from his father.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اعْبُدُوا الرَّحْمَنَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ " قَالَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
'Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Worship the Most Merciful, feed (others), and spread the greeting of peace and make it common; you will enter Paradise in peace." 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
