حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ : زَوَّجَنِي أَبِي فَدَعَا أُنَاسًا فِيهِمْ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " انْهَسُوا اللَّحْمَ نَهْسًا فَإِنَّهُ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فِي عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْمُعَلِّمِ مِنْهُمْ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ .
‘Abdullah bin Harith says that my father married me and invited people, among whom was Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Eat meat by tearing it with your teeth, for it is digested more quickly and is tastier.” © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- We know this hadith only from the narration of Abdul Karim, and the scholars of knowledge have spoken about the memory of Abdul Karim al-Mu’allim; among those who spoke about him is Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani,
2- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Aisha and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them both).
