حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ تَبُوكَ ، خَرَجَ النَّاسُ يَتَلَقَّوْنَهُ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ " ، قَالَ السَّائِبُ : فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the Battle of Tabuk, people went out to Thaniyyat al-Wada‘ to welcome him; I also went out with the people even though I was young in age. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is hasan sahih.
