Sunan Sa'id bin Mansur 3777 — on signaling to the polytheists
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ: وَإِذَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ: لَا تَخَفْ فَقَدْ أَمَّنَهُ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: مَطْرَسْ فَقَدْ أَمَّنَهُ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: لَا تَدْحَلْ، فَقَدْ أَمَّنَهُ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ الْأَلْسِنَةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) that: "If someone says to another «لا تخف» (Do not be afraid), then he has granted him protection. And if he says «مطرس» or «لا تدخل», then he has also granted protection, because Allah knows the meanings of tongues."
Brief Explanation
Chain is weak (due to the tadlis of al-A‘mash narrating with "‘an"). The content is authentic in meaning (established by other authentic ahadith).
