أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، حَيْثُ كَانَ فَلَمْ يَصِلْ إِلَيْهَا فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَقَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَفَّ عَلَى النُّعْمَانِ ابْنَتَهُ»
It is narrated from Yahya bin Abdur Rahman Ansari (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) separated a couple due to inability to have marital relations and said: "All praise is due to Allah who saved the daughter of Nu'man."
