Sunan Sa'id bin Mansur 2592 — What is reported regarding khul'
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا بَعْضُ، أَصْحَابِنَا، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ،: «هُمْ عَلَى مَا اصْطَلَحُوا عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ دُونَ السُّلْطَانِ فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Even if khul‘ takes place without the ruler, whatever terms both have agreed upon in reconciliation are permissible.
