Sunan Sa'id bin Mansur 2431 — What is reported regarding the choice
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شُبْرُمَةَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يَقُولُ: «لَهَا الْخِيَارُ حُرًّا كَانَ زَوْجُهَا أَوْ عَبْدًا»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: After being freed, a slave woman has the choice, whether her husband is a slave or free.
