بَابُ الرَّجُلِ لَهُ أَرْبَعُ نِسْوَةٍ فَنَهَى وَاحِدَةً عَنِ الْخُرُوجِ، فَوَجَدَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ قَدْ خَرَجَتْ، فَقَالَ: فُلَانَةُ أَنْتِ طَالِقٌ، أَيَّتُهُنَّ تُطَلَّقُ مِنْهُ؟
Chapter: A man has four wives, forbids one from going out, finds one of his wives has gone out, and says, "So-and-so, you are divorced"—which one is divorced?
Sunan Sa'id bin Mansur 2355 — A man has four wives, forbids one
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، لَهُ أَرْبَعُ نِسْوَةٍ فَطَلَعَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ، فَقَالَ: " أَنْتِ طَالِقٌ؟ قَالَ: هَذِهِ أُغْلُوطَةٌ "
When Sayyiduna Jabir bin Zayd (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about this, he said: This is a complicated issue.
