Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Learn the obligatory duties, for they are a part of your religion."

Brief Explanation
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i’s hearing from Sayyiduna Umar radi Allahu anhu is not established, therefore this narration is mursal. However, such minor weakness is present in the reports of the Tabi'in, and they are accepted on the basis of reasoning, especially when the subject pertains to a legal (shar'i) teaching. The chain from Abu Mu'awiyah from al-A'mash, and from him from Ibrahim, is well-known. The issue of tadlis does not affect it.
