Bayhaqi Q16236 — Blood money for the eyelids

Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "For each eyelid there is a quarter of the diyah, because a person has four of them, they are part of the completeness of his creation, and cutting them causes pain. (This ruling) is by analogy with the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed the full diyah for some of the organs of which a person has only one, and also fixed the full diyah for some of the organs of which a person has two."
