وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي قِصَّةِ عُوَيْمِرٍ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَدْ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ الْقُرْآنَ فِيكَ وَفِي صَاحِبَتِكَ " فَأَمَرَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمُلَاعَنَةِ بِمَا سَمَّى اللهُ تَعَالَى فِي كِتَابِهِ.
In the story of Sayyiduna Uwaymir al-Ajlani (may Allah be pleased with him) it is narrated that (the narrator) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has revealed the Qur'an concerning you and your wife."
Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded the two of them to perform li'an in the manner that Allah Almighty has set out in His Book.
