Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Ma'bad states that a woman fell ill and vowed: If Allah cures me, I will go and pray in Bayt al-Maqdis. She recovered and prepared to set out. She came to Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to greet her, and told her about that. Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sit down, eat from what you have prepared, and pray in the Mosque of the Prophet, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Prayer in other mosques is not equal to prayer offered in the Mosque of the Prophet; that is, the reward of one prayer in it equals a thousand prayers, except the House of Allah."
