قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى وَهُوَ أَصْدَقُ الْقَائِلِينَ: {أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِ} [النور: 31].
Allah Almighty, and He is the most truthful of all who speak, said: "Or (before) the children who are not yet aware of the private matters of women." [Surah al-Nur: 31]
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: " هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَدْرُونَ مَا النِّسَاءُ مِنَ الصِّغَرِ ".
It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that it refers to those who, because of their young age, do not know what women are.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ⦗١٥٦⦘ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ، أنبأ اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا اسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحِجَامَةِ، فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا طَيْبَةَ أَنْ يَحْجُمَهَا قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ، أَوْ كَانَ غُلَامًا لَمْ يَحْتَلِمْ وَاللهُ سُبْحَانَهُ أَعْلَمُ.
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for cupping, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Abu Taybah to cup her. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I think Abu Taybah was either her foster brother or a boy who had not yet reached puberty.
