أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ بِهَا، أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَاكِهِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي مَسَرَّةَ، ثنا الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَهَبَتْ بِهِ أُمُّهُ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ حُمَيْدٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، بَايِعْهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " هُوَ صَغِيرٌ "، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَدَعَا لَهُ، وَكَانَ يُضَحِّي بِالشَّاةِ الْوَاحِدَةِ عَنْ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِهِ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَصْبَغَ بْنِ الْفَرَجِ وَعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ زُهْرَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو عَقِيلٍ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: وَدَعَا لَهُ، ثُمَّ زَادَ عَنْ زُهْرَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ بِهِ جَدُّهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَيَشْتَرِي الطَّعَامَ فَيَتَلَقَّاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ⦗١٣١⦘ فَيَقُولَانِ لَهُ: أَشْرِكْنَا؛ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ دَعَا لَكَ بِالْبَرَكَةِ، فَيُشْرِكُهُمْ، وَرُبَّمَا أَصَابَ الرَّاحِلَةَ كَمَا هِيَ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا إِلَى الْمَنْزِلِ..
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) that his mother Zaynab bint Humayd took him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), take his pledge of allegiance." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is young," and he passed his hand over his head and supplicated for him. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sacrifice one goat on behalf of his whole household.
It is narrated from Zuhrah bin Ma'bad (may Allah have mercy on him) that he used to go to the market with his grandfather Abdullah bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) and buy grain and the like. They met Ibn Umar and Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both), and the two of them would say: "Make us partners too, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for blessing for you." So Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) made them partners too. And often he would go to a caravan and bring it home just as it was.

أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّسَوِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ شَاكِرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ بِهِ جَدُّهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
