أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَا: ثنا شَيْبَانُ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ هُوَ ابْنُ حَازِمٍ، ثنا نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " رَأَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عُطَارِدًا التَّمِيمِيَّ يُقِيمُ بِالسُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ، وَكَانَ رَجُلًا يَغْشَى الْمُلُوكَ وَيُصِيبُ مِنْهُمْ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ عُطَارِدًا يُقِيمُ فِي السُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ، فَلَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا فَلَبِسْتَهَا لِوفُودِ الْعَرَبِ إِذَا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْكَ، قَالَ: وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ: وَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ". فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحُلَلٍ سِيَرَاءَ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِحُلَّةٍ، وَبَعَثَ إِلَى أُسَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِحُلَّةٍ، وَأَعْطَى عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ حُلَّةً، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " شَقِّقْهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ " فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بِحُلَّتِهِ يَحْمِلُهَا، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَذِهِ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ بِالْأَمْسِ فِي حُلَّةِ عُطَارِدٍ مَا قُلْتَ، قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا، وَإِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُصِيبَ بِهَا "، وَأَمَّا أُسَامَةُ فَرَاحَ فِي حُلَّتِهِ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرًا عَرَفَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَنْكَرَ مَا صَنَعَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ: مَا تَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ وَأَنْتَ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا، وَلَكِنْ بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُشَقِّقَهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a striped silk garment being sold in the market (by Utarid). He was a man who used to visit kings and obtain things from them. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have seen a striped garment with Utarid. If only you (peace and blessings be upon him) would buy it for the delegations and for Friday." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Silk is worn in this world only by one who has no share in the Hereafter." After that, striped garments (hullah) were brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent one garment to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), sent another to Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him), and gave a third to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Divide it among your women." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came carrying that garment and said: "You (peace and blessings be upon him) have sent this to me, yet you (peace and blessings be upon him) said what you said about Utarid's garment!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I did not give it to you to wear, but so that you may benefit from it." And Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) went out in his garment, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at him; Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) realised that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disapproved. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, you (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it, and still you (peace and blessings be upon him) look at me like this?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I did not give it to you to wear; rather, divide it among your women so that they may make head-coverings from it."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَبُو الْفَيَّاضِ بَكَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الزِّمَّانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَخِي جُوَيْرِيَةَ، ثنا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ رَأَى حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ، ⦗٣٩٠⦘ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوِ ابْتَعْتَ هَذِهِ الْحُلَّةَ فَلَبِسْتَهَا لِلْوفُودِ وَلِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a striped silk garment (hullah) and said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), if you buy it, you could wear it for the delegations and on Friday." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is worn only by one who has no share in the Hereafter."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُحِلَّ الذَّهَبُ وَالْحَرِيرُ لِإِنَاثِ أُمَّتِي، وَحُرِّمَ عَلَى ذُكُورِهَا ".
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Gold and silk are permitted for the women of my Ummah and forbidden for its men."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ ثَوْبَانَ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي رُقَيَّةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنَ مُخَلَّدٍ يَقُولُ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ: قُمْ فَأَخْبِرِ النَّاسَ بِمَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَامَ عُقْبَةُ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ كَذِبَ عَلَيَّ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ ".
Hisham bin Abi Ruqayyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Maslamah bin Mukhallad (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "O Uqbah bin Amir, stand up and tell the people what you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." So Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever lies about me, let him take his seat in Hell."
