It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three whose prayer Allah Almighty does not accept: an imam whom the people dislike; a man who prays after the time of the prayer has ended; and a man who has enslaved a free person."
Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The prayer of one who leads a people in prayer while they dislike him is not accepted, nor that of a woman whose husband is displeased with her, nor that of a runaway slave until he returns. And he said: I do not recall a route for it on the basis of which the people of knowledge would establish this hadith.
This hadith with this meaning is narrated only through two weak chains, one of them mursal (with a missing Companion link) and the other connected.

It is narrated from al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three people whose prayers do not rise beyond their heads: an imam whom the people dislike; a woman who spends the night while her husband is angry with her; and a slave who has run away from his master."

Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) reports a similar hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
The hadith of Abd al-Rahman bin Ziyad is better than this one, even though it too is not strong; and what is preserved of the hadith of Qatadah is the following.

Ma'mar (may Allah have mercy on him) reports from Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him), and he says: I know of him only that he attributed it to the Prophet, that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three whose prayers do not go beyond their ears: a slave who has run away from his master until he comes back to his master; a woman whose husband spends the night angry with her; and an imam whom the people dislike."
It is also narrated from Abu Ghalib from Abu Umamah, but that is not strong.
