أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ: هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ، مُسْلِمُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِمُسْلِمِهِمْ، وَكَافِرُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِكَافِرِهِمْ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People are followers of Quraysh in this matter: their Muslims follow the Muslims of Quraysh, and their disbelievers follow the disbelievers of Quraysh."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اثْنَانِ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُونُسَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The caliphate will remain in Quraysh as long as even two people remain."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْآدَمِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تُعَلِّمُوا قُرَيْشًا وَتَعَلَّمُوا مِنْهَا، وَلَا تَقَدَّمُوا قُرَيْشًا وَلَا تَأَخَّرُوا عَنْهَا، فَإِنَّ الْقُرَشِيَّ مِثْلُ قُوَّةِ الرَّجُلَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِمْ " يَعْنِي فِي الرَّأْيِ. هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ، وَرُوِيَ مَوْصُولًا، وَلَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not teach Quraysh, but learn from them; do not go ahead of Quraysh, nor lag behind them, for one man of Quraysh has the understanding of two men."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَهْلٍ، يُكْنَى أَبَا أَسَدٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The rulers will be from Quraysh."
