It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray while carrying his granddaughter "Umamah bint Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her)"; when he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood he would pick her up, and when he prostrated he would put her down.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mughirah! Take the vessel." I took the vessel and went with him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) went on until he was hidden from me, and then he (peace and blessings be upon him) relieved himself. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a cloak (jubbah) with narrow sleeves; he (peace and blessings be upon him) tried to take his hand out through the sleeve, but it was too narrow. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) took his hand out from underneath, and I poured water for him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution as for prayer. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over his leather socks and prayed. In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Syrian cloak (jubbah shamiyyah) was made by the polytheists, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing it and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed.
