أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ السَّمَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ؟ فَقَالَتْ: " بِمَا أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ، وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ دَعَا بِطَسْتٍ لِيَبُولَ فِيهَا وَأَنَا مُسْنِدَتُهُ إِلَى صَدْرِي، فَانْخَنَثَ أَوْ قَالَتْ: فَانْخَنَثَ فَمَاتَ وَمَا شَعَرْتُ، فَبِمَ يَقُولُ هَؤُلَاءِ أَنَّهُ أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ؟ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَزْهَرَ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ هَذَا يُقَالُ هُوَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ التَّيْمِيُّ.
Al-Aswad said: It was said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that some people say the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a bequest to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: What bequest did he make to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)? I saw that he (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a basin to urinate in, while I was supporting him (peace and blessings be upon him) against my chest; he (peace and blessings be upon him) slumped over, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, and I did not even perceive it. So on what basis do these people say that he (peace and blessings be upon him) made a bequest to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)?
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَقِيهُ بِالرِّيِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْأَزْرَقُ، نا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ حُكَيْمَةَ بِنْتِ أُمَيْمَةَ بِنْتِ رُقَيْقَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، قَالَتْ: كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدَحٌ مِنْ عِيدَانَ تَحْتَ سَرِيرِهِ يَبُولُ فِيهِ بِاللَّيْلِ ".
Hukaymah bint Umaymah bint Ruqayqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from her mother that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a wooden cup that was kept under his (peace and blessings be upon him) bed, and at night he (peace and blessings be upon him) would urinate in it.
