أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، نا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَمْ يحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِي طُهُورِهِ إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ، وَفِي تَرَجُّلِهِ إِذَا تَرَجَّلَ، وَفِي انْتِعَالِهِ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ ".
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved to begin with the right in his ablution, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) combed his hair or when he put on his sandals as well (he preferred the right side).
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَا: نا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ، نا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ التَّيَمُّنُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ، فِي تَرَجُّلِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ وَوُضُوئِهِ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى.
With the same chain it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) "liked (beginning with) the right side as far as possible in all his affairs: in putting on his sandals, combing his hair and performing ablution."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، وَأَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْقَاضِي، قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَالِدٍ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا لَبِسْتُمْ وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَابْدَءُوا بِأَيَامِنِكُمْ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you put on clothes and when you perform ablution, begin with your right side."
