أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلَهَا أَخُوهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، " فَدَعَتْ بِمَاءٍ قَدْرِ الصَّاعِ، وَاغْتَسَلَتْ وَصَبَّتْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثًا ". أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ: عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَدْرَ صَاعٍ. وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَبَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهَا سِتْرٌ.
(a) It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that her foster brother asked about the ritual bath of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for major ritual impurity, so she called for water of about the measure of a sa', bathed, and poured water over her head three times. (b) Shu'bah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "About the measure of a sa'." (c) In Sahih Muslim this narration is reported from Shu'bah (may Allah have mercy on him), and it has the additional words: "There was a screen between us and her (Sayyidah Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her)."
