It is narrated from Thabit al-Bunani (may Allah have mercy on him): I was sitting with Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla (may Allah have mercy on him) when a man with two braids came and said: O Abu Isa, tell me what you heard from your father about furs (al-fira'). He said: My father told me that he was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came and said: O Messenger of Allah, may I pray on furs? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then what is tanning for?" Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When he left, I asked: Who is this? He said: Suwayd bin Ghafalah (may Allah be pleased with him).
(b) Some people narrated it through the chain of Ubaydullah bin Musa from Thabit from Anas, but this narration is not correct.
