أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي اللَّيْثُ، وَيُونُسُ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ أُرِيَ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنَّ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَسْمَعُ رُؤْيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ عَلَى أَنَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَمَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that some men from among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were shown in their sleep that Laylat al-Qadr is in the last seven (nights) of Ramadan. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I hear that your dreams have agreed that it is in the last seven; so whoever would seek it, let him seek it in the last seven."
