باب: من رأى إعادة صومه وإن لم يأكل ولم يشرب وحديث الأمر بالقضاء في صوم عاشوراء يحتمل أن يكون عاما في الذي أكل والذي لم يأكل، ويحتمل غير ذلك، وقد اختلفوا في كونه واجبا في الأصل
Chapter: Those who held he must make up the fast even if he did not eat or drink; the hadith ordering the make-up of the Ashura fast may apply to both one who ate and one who did not, or may mean otherwise, and they differed over whether it was originally obligatory

وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، وَأَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّرَّاجُ، قَالَا: أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ لَمْ يَجْمَعِ الصِّيَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا صِيَامَ لَهُ ".
Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not make the intention to fast from the night, there is no fast for him."
