أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَدِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " نَسَخَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ يَعْنِي {فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ} [البقرة: ١٨٤] هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا {فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ} [البقرة: ١٨٥] " أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that this verse, namely "a ransom: the feeding of poor people", has been abrogated by "So whoever of you witnesses the month, let him fast it" [Surah al-Baqarah: 185].
