حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنبأ وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " {وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ} [الماعون: ٧] قَالَ: عَارِيَةُ الْمَتَاعِ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that "and they withhold al-ma'un (small kindnesses)" [Al-Ma'un: 7] means lending and borrowing household goods.
