Chapter: One who transgresses in zakah is like one who withholds it, and transgression may come from the collector or from the owner of the wealth

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ، ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ ابْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ وَالْمُعْتَدِي فِي الصَّدَقَةِ كَمَانِعِهَا " كَذَا قَالَ سِنَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَكَذَلِكَ يَقُولُهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَقَالَهُ أَيْضًا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no faith for one who has no trustworthiness, and one who transgresses in collecting zakah is like one who withholds it."
