أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، نا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ مُوسَى بْنُ عَامِرٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، فِيمَنْ قَلَّمَ أَظْفَارَهُ أَوْ قَصَّ شَارِبَهُ، أَوْ جَزَّ شَعْرَهُ، قَالَ: " إِنْ شَاءَ مَسَحَ عَلَيْهِ بِمَاءٍ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ ".
Al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said concerning a person who clips his nails, trims his moustache or cuts his hair: If he wishes he may wipe over it with water, and if he wishes he may leave it.
