Bayhaqi 687 — The Sunnah of trimming the nails and moustache
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ إِمْلَاءً، ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مِنَ السُّنَّةِ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ، وَنَتْفُ الْإِبْطِ، وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Trimming the moustache, plucking the armpit hair and clipping the nails are Sunnah."
