أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنبأ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " بَيْنَ الرَّجُلِ وَبَيْنَ الشِّرْكِ وَالْكُفْرِ تَرْكُ الصَّلَاةِ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي غَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The difference between a man and his disbelief and polytheism is abandoning the prayer."
