Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man from among the Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on Friday and said: O Messenger of Allah! The animals have perished, and families and the people in general have perished. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands in supplication, and the people also raised their hands along with him (peace and blessings be upon him) and they too supplicated. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We had not yet left the mosque when the rain came upon us, and it kept raining until the next Friday. Then the same man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! The travellers are stuck in the mud and the roads have been blocked.
