أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، ثنا عَبْدَانُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمَّارِ بْنِ سَعْدِ الْقَرَظِ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسَافِعٍ الدِّيلِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْلَا عِبَادُ اللهِ رُكَّعٌ، وَصِبْيَةٌ رُضَّعٌ، وَبَهَائِمٌ رُتَّعٌ، لَصُبَّ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَذَابُ صَبًّا، ثُمَّ لَتَرْضُنَّ رِضًا ".
Ibn Musafi' al-Dili narrates from his father, who narrated from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Were it not for the servants of Allah who bow, children who plead tearfully, and animals that bellow, punishment would surely have come upon you, and then you would surely have been crushed thoroughly."
