Bayhaqi 6122 — What the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ وَكِيعٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّهُ رَأَى رُفْقَةً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ رِحَالُهُمُ الْأُدْمُ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى أَشْبَهِ رُفْقَةٍ كَانُوا بِأَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَؤُلَاءِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw a caravan of the people of Yemen whose saddles were of leather, and he said: "Whoever would like to look at the caravan that most resembles the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), let him look at these."
