Atiyyah bin Qays (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Rabi'ah al-Jurashi (may Allah have mercy on him) stood among the people and narrated a long hadith. Then, there was Abd al-Rahman bin Ghanm al-Ash'ari (may Allah have mercy on him) as well. I asked him under oath, and he swore an oath and said that Abu Amir or Abu Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to him that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There will be people from my Ummah who will regard it as lawful."
(b) In the hadith of Hisham (may Allah have mercy on him) it is: "Wine and silk."
(c) In the hadith of Duhaym (may Allah have mercy on him) it is: "Silk, wine and musical instruments. People will settle beside a mountain; their livestock will go out to graze; a needy person will come to them and they will say: 'Come back tomorrow.' They will spend the night, then the mountain will be brought down upon them, and others will be transformed into monkeys and pigs until the Day of Resurrection."
