(a) Jabir bin Zayd (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed seven and eight (rak'ahs together) in Madinah: Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha.
(b) At the end of the narration of Hammad bin Zayd (may Allah have mercy on him) it says that Ayyub (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Perhaps it was on a rainy night.
(c) It is narrated from Amr bin Dinar (may Allah have mercy on him) that he interpreted it as delaying Zuhr to the end of its time and praying Asr early at the start of its time.
