فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَا: ثنا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: " كُلُّ ذَلِكَ قَدْ فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَدْ أَتَمَّ وَقَصَرَ، وَصَامَ وَأَفْطَرَ فِي السَّفَرِ ". وَقَدْ قَالَ: عُمَرُ بْنُ ذَرٍّ الْمُرْهِبِيُّ كُوفِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ.
Ata narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to shorten the prayer while travelling and sometimes also prayed it in full, and he would fast and sometimes also break his fast.
