أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَأَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالُوا: ثنا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ وَفَدُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَنِي سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ: صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً فَلَمَحَ بِمُؤَخَّرِ عَيْنَيْهِ فَرَأَى رَجُلًا لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِامْرِئٍ لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ ".
It is narrated from Ali bin Shayban (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was in the delegation of Banu Suhaym that came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We prayed a prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) glanced from the corner of his eye at a man who was not straightening his back in bowing and prostration. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the salam, he said: "O people! There is no prayer for a man who does not straighten his back in bowing and prostration."
