أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كُنَاسَةَ الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ مَالِكٌ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذٍ، ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَؤُمُّ أَصْحَابَهُ يَوْمًا فَذَهَبَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِهِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ ". لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الشَّافِعِيِّ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the time of prayer comes and a man intends to go to the toilet, let him begin with the toilet."
(b) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead his companions in prayer. He went away for a need, then returned and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When one of you needs to relieve himself, let him do so before the prayer."
(c) In the narration of al-Alawi it is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the time of prayer comes and a man intends to go to the toilet, let him begin with the toilet."
(b) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead his companions in prayer.
