أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْمَدِينِيِّ يَقُولُ: أَبُو بَصِيرٍ وَابْنُ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ سَمِعَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ أُبِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ جَمِيعًا. وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدِينِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى: فِي رِوَايَةِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ دَلَالَةٌ أَنَّ هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَاتِ مَحْفُوظَةٌ مَنْ قَالَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَقُلْ، خَلَا حَدِيثِ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ مَا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ هُوَ.
Ali bin al-Madini said: Abu Basir and Ibn Abi Basir both heard the hadith from Ubayy bin Ka'b.
Muhammad bin Yahya said: The narration of Khalid bin al-Harith and Yahya bin Sa'id indicates that these narrations are preserved (mahfuz), both of those who said "from his father" and of those who did not, except the hadith of Abu al-Ahwas; I do not know how that one is.
