أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ الْمَاسَرْجِسِيُّ، نا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ حَسَنَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ جَالِسَيْنِ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي يَدِهِ دَرَقَةٌ، فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ، فَتَكَلَّمْنَا فِيمَا بَيْنَنَا، فَقُلْنَا: يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ، فَأَتَانَا فَقَالَ: " أَمَا تَدْرُونَ مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُمْ بَوْلٌ قَرَضُوهُ، فَنَهَاهُمْ، فَتَرَكُوهُ، فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ ". زَادَ فِيهِ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ: فَاسْتَتَرَ بِهَا، فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ.
Abd al-Rahman bin Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) and I were sitting when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) had a leather shield in his hand. He (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated while sitting. We talked among ourselves and said: He is urinating the way a woman urinates. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) came back to us and said: "Do you not know what befell the man of Banu Isra'il? When urine got on them, they would cut that part away. He forbade them, so they abandoned it, and he was punished in his grave."
