أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى سُبَاطَةِ قَوْمٍ فَبَالَ قَائِمًا، فَتَنَحَّيْتُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: " ادْنُهْ ". فَدَنَوْتُ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ. مُخَرَّجٌ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ.
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the rubbish heap of some people, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated while standing. I moved away from him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come close." So I came close; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks.
