Bayhaqi 4788 — Witr with one rak'ah, and one who permitted praying

Abu Mijlaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) was between Makkah and Madinah. He prayed Isha as two rak'ahs, then prayed one rak'ah of witr, and recited a hundred verses of Surah al-Nisa. Then he said: "I will not fall short in the least: I will place my feet where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his feet, and I will recite from where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited."
