Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to inform him of the morning prayer, but Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) kept Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) occupied with some matter, asking him about it, until the morning became very bright. The narrator said: Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and informed him of the prayer, and kept informing him repeatedly, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not come out. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, he led the people in prayer. Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) had kept him occupied with some matter, because of which it had become very light, and that he (peace and blessings be upon him) too had been late in coming out. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was praying the two rak'ahs of Fajr." He said: O Messenger of Allah, you let it become very light. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if it had become lighter than this, I would still have prayed these two rak'ahs, and prayed them very well."
